Service Aim

Opening Doors Supported Lodgings is designed to help young people aged 16-21 who are leaving care or find themselves experiencing housing difficulties. The service finds a family type home where the young person can live with a host provider for a period of time and work towards independence or return home to their family (if appropriate).

We offer two models:  Planned & Emergency Placements

  • Crisis Placements - Emergency short notice. Night by night basis (up to 10 days while assessment is undertaken)
  • Medium Term Placements - Stepping stone to independent living up to 2 years
